Modern Country Style: 2011 Summary

Hello there, sweetpea.

What's all that crying for?
Here I am again.
Didn't I tell you I'd be back?

Shall we have a little peep at what we've been up to over the last twelve months?

If you'd like a look at any of the posts I'm highlighting here then just click on a photo that takes your fancy and it'll take you to that particular post (or group of posts). Cool, eh?!

There's been Modern Country Fashion...

And Modern Country Interiors....We live in an Edwardian house nestled in the Cotswolds. It needs a stack of work but I love every step of the planning involved...and I love sharing it all with you on Modern Country Style.

This year, I've shared some of what we've done with our kitchen and dining room (there'll be more coming your way very soon).

Such a huge change from the giant egg-yolk that was the before...

We're also in the process of working on our dining room, so far turning it from this...

to this...

I took you through my The Beginner's Guide To Painting Furniture...

Click To See All Beginner's Guide Posts....

I've given you sneak peeks around our cottage-style garden....

And, of course, there's been Modern Country Crafts.......
{remember to click on any photos that take your fancy to be teleported to the tutorial or to see the reveals in their full glory!}

Click to see my Cabbages and Roses Bucket Bag

Click to see my Cabbages and Roses Fabric Covered Box File

Did you see these beautiful crocheted shoes I made for a friend?

There's been cushions...
This one was perfect for using up fabric samples...

...and I made this one for Valentine's Day for my gorgeous husband. 1999 was the year we got married...
{I know, I know, doesn't every man hope for a cushion for Valentine's Day?!!}

I made these rosebud initials for a bit more Valentine's Day atmosphere....

...and then there was the blanket-stitched felt heart...

and my felt Christmas pud...so plump and round

And that's just a taster of what I've been up to over the past year.
I so hope you've enjoyed every step as much I have.

What's to come, you want to know?
 Oooooh.....you'll have to wait and see....but I can reveal that it'll be chockablock full of Modern Country Style....

An Edwardian house nestled in the Cotswolds? I wouldn't care if it's a wreck it sounds romantic and dreamy.

The renovations are lovely, you have such excellent taste and talent.

Happy New Year, looking forward to more of your interesting posts in 2012.

What a fun year it has been, Sarah! I'm excited to be along for the ride in 2012. I think you should have included your coverage of the royal wedding/Kate Middleton style (not intended to be a criticism, but a compliment--I LOVED all your royal wedding coverage). Anyway, you are such a fun blogger to read. Welcome back!
